What is the passing score for an Eanes ISD/Westlake CBE?
90% — significantly higher than the Texas state minimum of 80% for CBE acceleration.
Who is eligible for Eanes ISD's CBE program?
Only students enrolled in EISD for the previous school year. Families new to EISD are not eligible until they've completed a full year in the district.
Can my Westlake student retake a CBE if they fail?
Yes — one time. Students scoring below 90% may retest once, by registering and paying independently. The retest is not paid for by EISD.
When must the CBE score be received?
By the 10th day of the school year — otherwise the course schedule cannot be adjusted.
Can seniors at Westlake use CBE for their final semester?
No. CBE credit cannot be awarded for credit earned between January and May of the graduating year — the student must enroll in the course at Westlake.
